ONLINE CONFERENCE 26-28/11/2021

You can find all links for all sessions in the program.
Why do we organise this conference?
With this conference, we intend to open a room for interested people from the climate justice and health justice movement to get together, get to know each other and start conversation and reflection about anti-racist and decolonial perspectives within their political work.
Above all, we also aim to open a space to start self-reflection on positionings in the movement, by providing an explicit space for BIPOC empowerment and critical whiteness.
Who are we?
We are a group of activists, working in different structures on the intersection of health and climate justice. Over the last few years, we have become increasingly aware that anti-racist and decolonial perspectives receive little to no attention in these two movements and colonial ways of thinking are continuously unquestioned by white, academic elites. We want to emphasize the intersectionality of these issues and connect struggles and common fights.
We are looking forward to meeting you!
Let’s decolonize it!

THE SPACE WE WISH TO CREATE
AN INVITATION TO BRAVE SPACE
by Micky ScottBey Jones and Beth Strano
Together we will create brave space
Because there is no such thing as a “safe space” –
We exist in the real world
We all carry scars and we have all caused wounds.
In this space
We seek to turn down the volume of the outside world,
We amplify voices that fight to be heard elsewhere,
We call each other to more truth and love
We have the right to start somewhere and continue to
grow. We have the responsibility to examine what we
think we know.
We will not be perfect.
This space will not be perfect.
It will not always be what we wish it to be
But
It will be our brave space together,
And
We will work on it side by side.
